Setting the Document Title from the Accessibility Checker

Document creators often omit adding a document title to their Word or PowerPoint document. Thankfully, Adobe Acrobat's accessibility checker provides an easy way to add a title to your document. Follow these steps to fix your missing document title:

  1. Right-click Title-Failed from the navigation pane.
  2. Select Fix from the context menu.
    1. If your document has a title, selecting fix will automatically resolve the problem.
  3. Uncheck Leave As Is under Title.
  4. Add your document title to the interactive text field.
  5. Select Okay, save your document, and run the accessibility checker again to ensure the problem is fixed.

Editing Document Language

If document language is not set, do the following to apply the correct language to the document:

  1. Right-click Primary Language in the Accessibility Checker tab
  2. Choose Fix from the options
  3. Choose the correct language from the Set Reading Language dialog, and then click OK.

Changing Document Language in Document Properties

If your exported document language needs to be changed, do the following:

  1. Open the File menu and select Properties.
  2. On the Document Properties dialog, select the Advanced tab.
  3. On the Advanced tab, select the appropriate language under Reading Options.
