2. Inversion:

      • an ascending major 6th has the same letter names as a descending minor 3rd
      • an ascending minor 6th has the same letter names as a descending major 3rd
      • a descending major 6th has the same letter names as an ascending minor 3rd
      • a descending minor 6th has the same letter names as an ascending major 3rd

3. Determine P5 from the notated pitch.

      • To the P5 add a m2 if the given interval is a minor 6th
      • To the P5 add a M2 if the given interval is a major 6th
