M7: Sheltered Instruction

One approach that is widely promoted for teaching ELs is Sheltered Instruction. You will see the term SIOP written in many places. SIOP is referring to the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol, which is a tool used to evaluate a Sheltered Instruction Classroom.
