Core I : Collaboration is the first of two sequential foundations courses introducing practical and theoretical content in disciplinary and interdisciplinary art and design practices. Through thematic collaborative projects, students engage various 2D, 3D, and 4D materials, methods, tools, and concepts independently and in relation to each other.

This course introduces a series of thematically based collaborative projects that are designed to foster teamwork and group problem solving, and a working knowledge of 2D, 3D, and 4D materials, methods, tools, and concepts independently and in combination. In Core I, emphasis is placed on introductory approaches to problem-solving and problem-finding through strategic creative thinking techniques.
