Understanding the Importance of Attribution

• Ethics of attribution – it’s the right thing to do to cite – the most ethical practice is to give attribution, at least a link back to where you found the image or other creative content. ​
• Citing and attribution continue the flow of knowledge, allows others to learn more about creators and their creative content​
