If you are not able to import automatically as described on the previous page, you can import manually through the EndNote software.

  • Under the File menu, select Import>File.
  • Use the Choose button to find the file you exported from the library database or library catalog. Remember that in most cases this will be an RIS file.
  • In the Import Option dropdown menu, select the option for Reference Manager (RIS).
  • Click the Import button.
  • If you are importing records that you exported from the library catalog, it will be a .txt or text file and you will need to change the Import Option dropdown to Refer/BibIX.
