Headings
In PowerPoint, a slide title is equivalent to a heading in Word. Please respect the following best practices to ensure your headings are accessible:
- Each slide should have one main title/heading
- Each slide should have a unique main title/heading (do not repeat the same title for each slide)
The PowerPoint Accessibility Checker will inform editors if they are duplicating slide titles in their document.
Creating Custom Font Styles with Headings
By default, the theme in PowerPoint uses Aptos for heading and body text. To alter this to a different font style, you will need to create a custom theme. Microsoft provides support information for changing themes in Windows and macOS on the Microsoft Support Links to an external site. website.
