About This Module

This module  focuses on the communication tools in Canvas that allow you to easily communicate with your instructor and classmates.  There are several tools in Canvas that make communication easy.  They include:

  • Inbox
  • Calendar
  • Course Announcements

After completing this module, you will be able to:

    • View, read, and send messages in the Canvas Inbox
    • Use the Canvas Calendar to view events and assignments
    • Open Course Announcements

In the Canvas office in Chicago, Illinois there is a Lava Room. In the Lava Room, the furniture is made of foam building blocks and the goal is to “avoid touching the lava” (floor).
